Acceptable Use & Messaging Policy
This policy is part of the Terms of Service and summarizes the Meta rules every Customer must follow. If they differ, the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy prevails.
1. Opt-in
- Only message people who gave you their number and agreed to receive WhatsApp messages from your business.
- Consent must be clear about the kind of messages the person will receive. Example: "I agree to receive order updates and promotions from [Business] on WhatsApp."
- WhatsApp calls require their own permission.
2. Opt-out
Honor any request to stop receiving messages immediately (for example "STOP") and do not message that person again on that channel without new consent.
3. 24-hour window and templates
Outside the 24 hours after the person's last message, you may only start a conversation with a Meta-approved template in the right category (marketing, utility or authentication).
4. Human support
If you use automated replies, always offer a clear way to reach a person.
5. Business profile
Use your business's real name and keep your contact details up to date.
6. Prohibited content and industries
The service may not be used for, among others:
- Weapons, ammunition and explosives.
- Drugs and restricted medicines.
- Tobacco, vapes and alcohol where the law or Meta prohibit them.
- Real-money gambling.
- Sexual or adult content.
- Payday loans, pyramid or multi-level marketing schemes, and other deceptive financial products.
- Fake documents, counterfeit goods, stolen personal data.
- Fraud, impersonation, spam or any illegal activity.
The full, current list is in Meta's policy and the Commerce Policies.
7. Unofficial numbers and clients
Rumbo Connect works only with Meta's official platform. Do not use it with unauthorized WhatsApp clients or with personal numbers that do not belong to your business.
8. Enforcement
If we detect a breach we may pause sending, suspend or remove the account, and notify WhatsApp where its terms require it. To report abuse, write to eduardo@rumbocs.com.
